CINEMATHEQUE
For this project I designed a new, unique typeface, that is elastic and changing just like a movie plot. The design has a retro aesthetic that also pays homage to the cultural history of the place.

Revolved mainly around movie titles and credit screens from old movies.
The Inspiration
Looking at vintage movie posters, I gathered details on composition, color, and type.
The Research
I started with solid colors and only then started to experiment with the backgrounds. The colors and shapes became amorphic, and suit the atmosphere of the movies they represent.
The Gradient
Just like a movie plot, I created a typeface that changes and evolves. It is made from basic shapes and has gaps and holes that allow it to be elastic.
